I was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend who was telling me about her 9 year old niece.  She was going through the BIRD TALK deck and decided her favorite card was about boundaries.  She went on to say that it reminded her that her counselor told her it was okay to say no, because no is a complete sentence.  

 

So for all those times you think you need to make an excuse about why you are choosing to not do something, use this as a reminder.  It is okay to say no.  It is okay to use your boundaries to take care of yourself.  Being polite and kind to yourself sometimes requires you to say NO!
